Experience:
Following early qualification as an accountant and an MBA from London Business School, John founded and led his own software companies for the next 25 years.
The first 2 ventures grew moderately well bootstrapping up to 15 and 75 staff respectively. The 3rd providing supply chain management solutions grew to employ over 500 people and achieve profitable revenues in excess of £75 million in 2024 terms – and an exit to a Management Buy In and flotation on the AIM stock market.
Over the past 25 years John has been a business mentor and coach with a particular focus on, but not exclusivity of, B2B application software and SaaS companies. In addition, he’s been Chair of several more developed businesses in this sector typically being appointed by a VC or Business Angel syndicate.
In 2007, John’s book ‘The Effective Entrepreneur’ was published and in 2009, he was awarded an OBE for ‘services to entrepreneurship’
